The Western Community Policing Tribal Training Institute is a collaborative partnership among the Western Community Policing Institute, the Western Regional Institute for Community Oriented Public Safety, and the National Native American Law Enforcment Association

 

Our goal is to provide tribal-centered, culturally sensitive and culturally competent training devlopment and delivery and to provide technical assistance to tribal communities nationwide.

Western Community Policing Institute (WCPI)

1996-2006: Celebrating ten years of providing the latest and most advanced training and technical assistance on community policing issues vital to community safety

The mission of the Western Community Policing Institute is to improve the interaction and cooperation between police, community, and government to promote the development of community-based partnerships and problem solving to prevent crime, reduce the fear of crime, and enhance the quality of life throughout the region.

The
WCPI has operated as the sole national training institute responsible for coordinating tribal training programs for COPS Tribal Resource Grant Participant (TRGP) recipients. WCPI has over 10 years experience in developing and delivering tribal-centered training and technical assitance to Tribal communitites accross the United States.

Washington Regional Institute for Community Oriented Policing


Our mission is to provide and integrated approach to the adoption of the community policing philosophy throughout the five-state region of Idaho, Montana, South Dakota, Washington, and Wyoming. We strive to advance the field of community oriented public safety through the advancement of innovative practices. Our goal is the enhance the knowledge and professional practice in areas of mutual interest and concern, serving the needs of the members within the region, and the field of public safety beyond our borders.

National Native American Law Enforcement Association

he NNALEA is a nonprofit organization founded in 1993 in Washington, D.C. and incorporated under the state of Delaware. The mission of the NNALEA is to promote and foster mutual cooperation between American Indian Law Enforcement Officers/Agents/Personnel, their agencies, tribes, private industry and public.
